COMMISSIONER BOB O’MALLEY

Bob O’Malley is a longtime resident of Altamonte Springs and has lived in the City for more than 20 years — and currently serves as your District 4 City Commissioner.

Bob has a long track record of public service in Altamonte Springs.  He has served on the City’s Municipal Planning Board since 2013.  He has also served as a volunteer on the City’s Code Enforcement Board, Charter Review Committee, and Redistricting Committee.  Bob is a past Chairman of the Seminole County Early Learning Coalition, where he served as a Board Member for ten years as an appointee of three Florida Governors.  His favorite volunteer position, though, was as Coach for the Annunciation Catholic Academy’s Boys and Girls soccer teams. 

Professionally, Bob O’Malley is Chief External Affairs Officer for the Orlando Economic Partnership. His focus is on nurturing strong working relationships between business and government leaders—and promoting public policy to advance broad-based prosperity throughout Central Florida.

Bob is running for re-election for City Commissioner, District 4 to continue keeping Altamonte Springs on the right track. His steady record of public service, knowledge of government finance, and support for law enforcement and public safety will help Altamonte Springs remain a fiscally stable and safe community. 

Growing up, Bob attended St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School and Bishop Moore Catholic High School, where he met Lisa, his wife of 32 years. He is a two-time graduate of the University of Central Florida, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Public Administrations (MPA) degree, and is accredited in public relations (APR). He is also a graduate of Leadership Orlando Class 54, Leadership Florida Class 30, and the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Bob and Lisa have three children: Shea, Meagan, and Colin.
